How to Write Content for Your Website | ID Digital Agency

How to Write Content for Your Website | ID Digital Agency

Start with your audience and goal

Before writing, define who the page is for, what they want to know and what you want them to do next. A page with one audience and one goal is easier to write and easier to read.

Structure each page

  1. A clear headline that says what the page is about.
  2. A short summary that answers the main question.
  3. Sections with descriptive headings, each covering one idea.
  4. Proof: examples, results or client stories.
  5. One clear call to action.

Write in plain language

  • Use short sentences and everyday words.
  • Say what you do before how you do it.
  • Replace jargon with the words your customers use.
  • Be specific: numbers, names and examples beat general claims.

Write for search and AI answers

Search engines and AI assistants favour pages that answer questions directly. Put the answer near the top, use headings that match real questions, and add a short FAQ. Keep the content in the page itself, not hidden in images.

Edit and keep it fresh

Read it aloud, cut anything that does not help the reader, and review key pages regularly. Out-of-date prices, services and statistics quietly erode trust and rankings.
