From prototype to real product

Prototype to platform: turning vibe-coded MVPs into secure, production-ready products

AI and no-code tools make it possible to build a working prototype in days. Getting it ready for real customers, real data and real growth is another step. We review, secure, refactor and scale apps built with tools like Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor, Bubble and ChatGPT, so your idea becomes a platform you can rely on.

Vibe-coded prototypes are usually treated as finished. They're not.

That’s where things start to fall apart.

  • It works, but nobody’s sure how or why
  • Security, logins and data storage were an afterthought
  • It breaks when more people use it
  • It can’t connect to your CRM, payments or other systems

A prototype proves the idea. It isn't the product yet.

What production-ready looks like

  • Secure authentication and protected data
  • Code that’s documented and maintainable
  • Reliable hosting, backups and monitoring
  • Integrations with the tools your business runs on

What

Our approach

Sub-Service-Naming-&-Verbal-Identity

We don't throw away what works

The parts of your prototype that prove the idea usually stay. We rebuild what needs to be production-grade, not everything.

Sub-Service-Digital-Ecosystem-Architecture-2

Integrations done properly

Payments, CRM, auth and any third-party API connected through reliable, documented integrations - not another quick prompt-generated shortcut.

Sub-Service-Reporting-&-Insights

Built to hand over

Clean, documented code and infrastructure your own team - or your next hire - can maintain without needing us forever.

Frequently asked questions

About Prototype to Platform

Do you need my app to be built with a specific AI tool?

No - we've worked with prototypes built across most vibe-coding platforms. What matters is what the code and architecture actually look like underneath, not which tool generated the first version.

Can you work with what I've already built, or do I need to start over?

In most cases we work with what you have. The audit identifies what's genuinely worth keeping versus what needs to be rebuilt - starting over completely is rarely necessary, and rarely the best use of budget.

How long does it typically take to commercialise a prototype?

This depends heavily on what the audit finds - a prototype with a reasonably sound structure might take a few weeks to harden and integrate properly, while one with significant security or architecture issues takes longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline after the initial audit, not before.

What does a prototype and architecture audit actually involve?

A full technical review of your existing code, hosting setup and data structure, assessed against real production requirements - security, scalability and maintainability. You'll get a clear, prioritised view of what's genuinely production-ready, what needs rework, and what should be rebuilt from scratch.

Can you tell me honestly whether my prototype is worth commercialising before I commit to anything?

Yes - the audit itself is designed to answer that question honestly, before any commercialisation work is quoted. If a prototype needs more strategic thinking before a technical rebuild makes sense, we'll say so, and a Digital Strategy conversation might be the better next step instead.

Do I need to give you access to my prototype's codebase and hosting?

Yes - the audit and rebuild both require access to your existing repository, hosting environment and any third-party accounts already connected (payment providers, CRM, etc.), so we can assess and work with what's actually there rather than guessing.

What happens to existing users or test data during the rebuild?

We plan data migration as part of the architecture phase, so existing users and data move across cleanly rather than being lost. If your prototype only has test data, this is usually a non-issue - we'll confirm what applies to your specific situation early on.

Will the finished product work the same way as my prototype, or will it change?

The core functionality and user experience you've validated usually stays the same - what changes is what's happening underneath it. Where a genuine UX improvement is identified during the audit, we'll flag it as a recommendation, not a silent change.

Do you handle app store submission if my prototype is a mobile app?

Yes - if your prototype is a mobile app, store submission and review requirements are handled as part of the build, the same as any other Mobile App Development project.

Can you add payment processing if my prototype doesn't have it yet?

Yes - Stripe, PayPal and similar payment integrations are a common part of this work, built securely rather than bolted on. See Ecommerce Solutions if payments are a central part of what you're building.

What if my prototype was built with a framework your team doesn't typically use?

In most cases this isn't a blocker - the audit will confirm whether the existing framework is worth building on or whether migrating to a more suitable stack makes more sense long-term, and we'll be upfront about which applies before quoting anything.

Is this service only for apps, or does it apply to AI-prototyped websites and platforms too?

It applies to any AI-generated prototype - app, website or platform - that needs to become genuinely production-ready. See Platform & CMS Development if your prototype is closer to a content-driven website than an application.

What is a vibe-coded app?

A vibe-coded app is software built mostly by describing what you want to an AI coding tool, such as Lovable, Bolt, Replit or Cursor, rather than writing the code by hand. It’s a fast way to build prototypes.

Can you take over an app built with AI tools?

Yes. We review the code, fix security and performance issues, and either refactor it or rebuild the parts that won’t scale.

Will we have to start again from scratch?

Not always. Many prototypes can be refactored. After the review we explain the options and costs so you can decide.

Is my AI-built app secure?

Often not by default. Common issues include exposed API keys, weak authentication and unprotected databases. A security review is the first step we recommend.

Built something with AI that people now depend on? Let’s make sure it’s ready.
